Eaton’s M22 Pilot Devices - Proven and Versatile

Eaton M22

Our extensive range of Eaton products and solutions includes the M22 series Pilot Devices. These 22 mm pilot devices combine an attractive appearance and modular functionality. The M22 series is a full line of pilot devices with features specifically designed for OEMs and panel builders.

Features:
1. Ease of use

The M22 uses a conventional mounting nut for fast, easy, secure installation. The mounting adapter snaps to the back of operators without the use of tools. Contact blocks and light units are available with spring-cage terminations for faster, secure, and vibration resistant wiring connections. M22 operators include a moulded sealing gasket and an oversized anti-rotation nib that holds operators firmly in place without twisting or slack.

2. Flexibility and modularity

The M22 line has field-convertible pushbuttons and field-convertible selector switches (from momentary to maintained operation and selectable key removable positions). In addition, the M22 E-Stop operators were designed with the correct “travel to operate contacts” so that they can be used with Eaton’s miniature limit switches. Contact blocks are stackable, and two LED light units provide a range of 12–30 Vac/dc and 85–264 Vac.

3. Safety and security

M22 E-Stops are compliant with the ISO/EN 13850 machinery standards and has self-monitoring contact blocks available.

4. Aesthetics and ergonomics

The M22 series is a low-profile design with compact integrated LED light units. These LED light units utilize sophisticated technology and manufacturing to embed the electrical connections directly into the moulded housing and thereby eliminate the need for a printed circuit board. Finally, the selector switches have very good positive detent feel so that inadvertent switching is unlikely.
